Eric Green grew up in the Monticello area. He is a graduate of Monticello High School. He attended Iowa State University. While at ISU, he participated in the SAE Mini Baja program and worked for the Center for Sustainable Environmental Technologies (now, Bioeconomy Institute). He is self-employed, owning and operating Diamond Pi, a pizzeria in Monticello. He is always trying to earn the “best uncle” title from his nieces and nephew. Eric takes interest in, among other things, Cyclone athletics, NASCAR, science and tech, and politics—attending events when his schedule allows and listening to podcasts in the meantime. As a restaurateur, he particularly likes finding new (to him) places to eat in his free time.
